THE SWEET SAVOUR OF TRIUMPHING THROUGH CHRIST JESUS

2 Corinthians 2:14-15 states that "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:". This is a unique experience such that the Almighty Father who specialises in effecting supernatural course of events chooses to make the savour of His knowledge known through everyone that abides in Christ. As believers, we are called to abide in Him, thereby allowing His presence to fill our hearts and direct our steps. When we fully surrender to His desires and trust in His promises, we experience victory over the challenges of this world even while being enveloped in a deep sense of Peace and Joy that saturates God's Holy Presence. In John 15:4-5, Jesus says, "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. ...

JESUS CHRIST: THE BEST UNBURDENING SHEPHERD

In the hustle and bustle of life, it is easy to accumulate burdens that weigh us down. Whether it is the stress of work, the demands of family, or the weight of personal struggles, we all carry burdens that can become overwhelming. In times like these, we need a shepherd to unburden us, to ease our load, and to guide us back onto the path of righteousness which is flaked with Peace and rest. In the book of Psalms, King David, a man familiar with adversity, found solace in God as his shepherd. In Psalm 23:1-3, he wrote, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” Here, David recognized God as his shepherd, the one who provides for his needs, leads him to places of rest, and restores his soul. It is in God that David found the unburdening of his soul and rest. In the New Testament, Jesus Christ also identified himse...

THE GOOD FRUIT OF EVERY GOOD TREE

In the Holy Bible, specifically in the book of Matthew chapter 7, verse 17, it is written: "Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit." It is important to remember that most trees are known by the fruit they bear but as we digest this piece, let us not be quick to forget the spiritual principle that states that good actions will always yield good results, just as a good tree will yield good fruit. During the course of living our daily lives, we may have encountered situations where our actions and choices determined the outcomes we experience. This is a true reflection of this moral principle. However, the teachings of JESUS CHRIST as outlined in the Holy Bible must still serve as the guiding light for believers who seek to live righteous and fruitful lives. The fruit of a tree is a reflection of the health and vitality of the tree itself. Similarly, the choices and actions of every Christian showcases the character of g...

THE BLESSEDNESS OF GOD'S FORGIVENESS

The concept of forgiveness is a central theme in the Christian faith. The Holy Bible teaches that God possesses attributes of forgiveness and whenever he does so, it activates a deep sense of blessedness in every receiving heart. Psalms 32:1-2 declares, "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile." This unique feeling of blessedness that comes with experiencing God's forgiveness is second to none. One of the well-known stories about God's forgiveness is recorded in the Gospel of Luke 15:11-32. The parable of the Prodigal Son teaches us about the depth of God's forgiveness and the joy that comes with being forgiven. The parable tells the story of a son who asked for his inheritance from his father, goes on to squander it, and then returns to his father, desiring to be forgiven. His father did not only forgive him but also celebrated his retur...

THE POWERFUL INTERVENTION OF JESUS CHRIST FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH IMPOSSIBILITY

The King James version of the Holy Bible is filled with numerous powerful interventions of Jesus Christ for individuals facing impossible situations. From healing the sick to raising the dead, His miraculous interventions have left a profound impact on countless lives. In this article, we will explore some of these interventions and the enduring lessons they offer those encountering impossibilities. One of the most known interventions of Jesus Christ is the healing of the paralyzed man. In Mark 2:3-12, we read about how a group of friends brought the paralyzed man to Jesus Christ, but the crowd was so large that they found it somewhat difficult to get him close. Undeterred by the negative situation in which they found themselves, they made a hole in the roof and lowered the man down to Jesus. Upon seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, "Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house" (Mark 2:11). Instantly, the man was healed and walked out of the h...

Did you know that LOVE is better than HATRED?

It may be easy to say "yes" to the above question especially by those practicing it but to others it may not. It is by far the best thing that has ever happened to mankind in general. The word LOVE brings people together. It connotes harmony and a peaceful coexistence. It promotes caring and sharing wherever it is found. It is in the dwellings of LOVE that TRUST is found. As Martin Luther King Jr. rightly equates LOVE with LIGHT, it brightens the countenance of those that cherish it. Now the question that we need to answer is DO WE CHERISH LOVE? If we value it as an exceptional phenomenon which must be accommodated, it will not be difficult for us to practice it. We must also remember that GOD is LOVE personified. If you love and cherish the God that created you, wickedness will be far from your thoughts. Whenever you discover that the thought to "deal drastically with the woman called your wife" if festering because she made a little mistake, then you must remember...
