DEALING WITH GOD'S NAUSEATION

It is no secret that God is rich in mercy and gracious to all penitent hearts, loving to rest forgiveness upon the sinner. However, there is also another side to God’s demeanour that is not often spoken of by many, and that is His nausea and disgust towards Sin. It is crucial that as Christians, we not only understand this aspect of God but also learn how to deal with it proportionately.  Revelation 3:16 warns us that “because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” This verse reveals that God’s disgust towards sin and its consequences is so strong that He would rather reject those who are living in sin completely than pamper erring individuals. Therefore, it is essential that believers learn to live a life that is well pleasing in His sight and avoid the things that make Him nauseous. One of the first steps in dealing with God’s nausea is to understand what Sin is. According to the Holy Bible, Sin is the act of transgressing the instructions...

ENHANCED FAITH FOR RECEIVING GOD'S BEST

Faith is the key to receiving God’s best. The Holy Bible in Hebrews 11:6, says that without faith, it is impossible to please God (KJV). As believers, we must have an unwavering confidence in God and believe that He is able to do anything. We must trust in His promises and have faith that He will fulfill them. In John 15:7, Jesus said, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” This means that if we truly trust and believe in God, we can ask for anything and it will be granted to us. However, to be a beneficiary to this, we must first have an intimate relationship with God. Having an intimate relationship with God entails, possessing Jesus Christ as your LORD and personal Saviour. Psalm 145:8-9 says, “The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.” It is only after accommodating Him within the confines of your heart as ...

THE POWER OF GOD'S UNFOLDING MAGNITUDE

The power of God's unfolding magnitude is a topic of great interest and reflection for believers in Christ. Studying the Holy Bible reveals the vastness and immeasurable nature of God's Power in a very uncanny way but praying to Him about the knowledge provided during such study, through Jesus Christ's name, makes the exercise a fruitful one that demonstrates His creative abilities which brings to light unprecedented miracles thereby making known His redemptive plan. In the book of Genesis, we see the power of God in the creation account. Just as The Holy Bible declares that God created everything from nothing, He still holds such Power to evoke a transformation in your life as a gentle and soul searching reader that you are in today's world. His Power is so great that His Word alone can conjure into existence both things you desire and those things He deems fit for your benefit. You must also remember that, this Word of His brought everything into existence. Genesis 1:...

BEWARE OF THE DECEITFULNESS OF RICHES

In the world today, many people believe that wealth essentially replicates success and happiness. They work tirelessly to accumulate wealth, believing that having more money will make them more comfortable and secure. This does not seem to hold the truth which God's word reveals. The Holy Bible warns us against the deceitfulness of riches. The Apostle Paul writes in 1 Timothy 6:10, "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows" (KJV). This well-known passage warns us that the desire for wealth can lead us away from God's plan for our lives. When we become obsessed with acquiring money and possessions, we can easily lose sight of important aspects of God's directives. Thereby, going astray into ungodliness. Craving after material riches primarily makes our focus to shift from serving God to gratification of the flesh and its desires. Instead of being c...

THE SUPERFLUITY OF A FOOL'S NAUGHTINESS

The word of God in Proverbs 10:23 says “It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.” Here we are exposed to the idea of a foolish person. This individual who is usually submerged in foolishness takes pleasure in behaving badly, while a wise person avoids causing mayhem. Perusing the Holy Bible, we find that there are many examples of individuals who exhibited foolish behaviour and the consequences that followed were grievous. In the book of Ecclesiastes, King Solomon describes the futility of chasing after pleasure and material possessions while stating that all of it is meaningless in the grand scheme of life. The delicacy of this thought is preconceived by Proverbs 21:20, which reads “There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.” This further explains that foolish behaviours lead to financial instability and ruin in life. As the book of Proverbs expresses the quirks and dangers of foolishne...

THE PLETHORA OF GOD'S INGENUITY

From time immemorial even until eternity, God's Wisdom remaineth Ad Infinitum. Its potency has been demonstrated in divergent ways which happen to be coherent with His existential truth. The uniqueness of this infinite wisdom of God has been manifested through the creation of the universe. From the intricate design of the human body to the vast expanse of the Cosmopolitan physic of the various constellations, the ingenuity of God is invariably evident in every visible and invisible phenomena. Genesis 1:1-2 states that, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Even at the very beginning, it is perceived that the diverse and creative nature of God, brought forth light, water, land, and all the creatures inhabiting the earth. One of the hallmarks of God's ingenuity is the diversity of life. In Psalm 104:24, it is...

THE INTRIGUING PLEASURE OF PRAYING TO GOD THROUGH JESUS NAME

For a believer, prayer is an essential aspect of our daily routine. It is one of the most effective ways of communicating with God. When we pray to God, we express gratitude to him and seek his guidance. Although there are many ways to pray in the world, the only most powerful and intriguing method of praying is through the name of Jesus Christ(Acts 4:12). The name of Jesus is more than just a word or a label. It is the only authorized name that confers hope, grace, and salvation on all who believe. When we pray through Jesus’ name, we are in agreement with his divinity as a constituent member of the trinity. Calling upon his name releases a powerful aura. By doing this, we tap into the infinite source of love and compassion. The name Jesus Christ is an embodiment of authority just as we could see during his life time ministry on Earth(Mark 4:39). There are several reasons why praying through Jesus’ name is so powerful. Firstly, it helps us to focus our minds and hearts on God. This is...

LIVING VICTORIOUSLY THROUGH CHRIST

"Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us" (Romans 8:37). Life generally is littered with different species of challenges. These challenges do not possess the ability to weigh a believer down out-rightly. This is because the believer has Jesus Christ as his/her spiritual genie that enables the capability to soar above them all. The Saviour Jesus Christ, guaranteed our victory and as the truth personified he revealed before departing this world after resurrection that the Spirit of Truth will be sent to comfort us. This Spirit from God does renege in his delegated function which entails comforting us and feeding us with the Peace and Joy that is sufficiently abundant in the presence of the Most High. As we live in the victory that Christ's resurrection brings, we are expected to continuously abide in Him and also make provision for him to abide in us. Just as John 15:4-5, assures us of fruitfulness, his word in chapter 16:33 also educ...
