ESSENTIAL NUTRIENTS FOR GREATNESS

Most things in life survive with the nutrition they get from ingesting food. Everything we take into our nervous system either acts to heal us or to destroy us. We must therefore ensure that we consider consuming those with the potentials for providing healing and reject every other. Do not think of nourishment only as what we take in through our mouths. What we consume with our eyes, our ears, our noses, our tongues, and our bodies also constitute the nutrients we feed on.

Reasonable contribution and inputs that we occasionally deliver during the conversations we engage ourselves in on daily basis can only be possible by feeding on enriching and nourishing nutrients. We are not expected to neglect consistent consumption of healthy food both emotionally, physically and spiritually because they help in making us modern versions of the mind edifice that guarantees the indemnification of moral sanctity. Think about it this way. If moral sanctity blossom, the society will be filled with motivational encouragements that can gear minds towards the actualization of good success. Tender minds will be groomed in this perspective. When we speak, we will be conscious of feeding hearers with gracious words.

We will no longer speak and act in a way that causes tension and anger but rather we will be nourishing and nurturing the smooth and successful transition from suffering to abundant supply of God's sufficiency. We will often enjoy the benefits that emanates from ingesting and understanding fruitful communications especially from those transpiring around us and from what we watch and read. They become more interesting when they communicate the compassion of Christ Jesus.

If this occurs, then we have good food to feed upon. More often than none, we will no longer ingest communication that makes us feel bad or insecure about ourselves or judgmental and superior to others but rather we will consistently ingest communication that makes us feel confident and secured in the subsistence of the God that created the universe. We can think about our communication as terms of nourishment and consumptions of potentially positive contents. The Internet is an item of consumption, full of nutrients that are both rich in healing and toxic content. It is so easy to ingest a lot in just a few minutes online.

This does not mean you should not use the Internet, but you should be wise enough to focus your attention on contents that position the mind for greatness either by way of reading or watching. When you work with your computer for three or four hours, you should also consider incorporating the study of God's word into your grand scheme of things. When you do this, you will not be lost. It is like eating fruits which act as catalyst to digestion after food. You should not eat food without considering ingestion of fruits.

A conscious study of the word of God at regular intervals will prove to be more profitable than you ever can imagine. It will further furnish what you read and write with the understanding that can help you heal. So be thoughtful about what you consume. When you write an e-mail or a letter, if it is filled with the understanding and compassion of Christ which will eventually be nourishing to you during the time you write it, be rest assured that the satisfaction you will derive from it will not be short lived. Everything you try to communicate especially those that tend to magnify Christ Jesus, will contribute to an eternal hope in Heaven with God.

DO NOT DEPAIR

Having found out whom God is... DO NOT DESPAIR TEXT: PSALM 13:1-6 Key verse: “How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?” (Psalm 13:1) . Life throws up new challenges every day. This often makes the believer begin to think that God had abandoned him. Except he rouses himself up, he would become discouraged and lose all hope that help would ever come to him. David got to that point many times in his numerous battles in life. He probably prayed and fasted for long periods, but the onslaught of the enemy did not end. He was running out of options, hence he spoke in desperation to God. He seemed to conclude that He had forsaken him and wondered how long God would hide himself, and how long he was going to be abandoned to himself, getting ever more sorrowful daily. He was troubled that the enemy seemed to be triumphing over him; ...

NO SHORTCUT

If it is to be done aright, be rest assured that there is... NO SHORTCUT BELIEVERS' DIGEST PUBLICATION Bible Reading: 1 KINGS 15:16-24 Key Verse: “There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me” (1 Kings 15:19). Men always seek shortcut to success in life. Rather than live by God’s righteous standard, they seek to achieve success by any means possible. They justify their action by arguing that the end does indeed justify the means. This is despite their moral failings and character flaws, all of which contravene God’s expectations from His children. Such was the beginning of the end for King Asa, who had begun well to rule Judah and had introduced gr...

A GEM OF SPECTACULAR INFLUENCE

WINNERS' INTEREST PUBLICATION A GEM OF SPECTACULAR INFLUENCE Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 3:19-21 (KJV) Key Verse: “And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground” (1 Samuel 3:19). The world, in which we live today is filled with corrupting influences. This forms the basis of God's call to His people to rise as rare treasures of purity and power. A “Gem of Spectacular Influence” is not an ordinary person. It describes a believer whose life carries unique, enduring value that transcends fleeting worldly trends. Like a precious gem that retains its brilliance even in darkness, such a life reflects resolute determination to pursue excellence in glorifying God, undimmed by surrounding negativity. The story of Samuel powerfully illustrates this truth. Raised in the tabernacle at Shiloh under the aged priest Eli, Samuel was surrounded by evil practices. Eli’s sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were notorious for ...
