The word "rapture" connotes the catching up of both the dead and living saints who will ascend to meet the LORD Jesus at His coming in the air. The words of Jesus Christ, as recorded by John 14:2,3, clearly states "where I am, there ye may be also". Christ referred to the Heavenly city not the Earth as some false teachers erroneously teach. We must however note that the rapture is not going to involve sinners, backsliders, religious people or even reprobates but Saints only, whose garments are pure and white, made clean and bright by the blood of the sacrificial lamb (Jesus Christ). It is a great privilege to be called a child of God. Just as He has made available the redemption of mankind through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, He also recognizes the penitent heart that comes to Him believing in the saving might of this precious blood.
