There once lived a prince in Nok land. He had everything that a man would ever wish to have. His father was rich and wealthy. The prince loved to practice magic. He had a friend that often brought some magical instruments to him. Each time they set out to mischievously unleash evil on their victim, they seem very happy. One day, as they set out on their usual parade. They encountered a young girl and they wanted to unleash evil upon her. Unfortunately, thunder struck and Prince Domingez hand was badly injured. It began to bleed. His friend who had taken to his heels, later returned to the scene to discover Prince Domingez's right hand bleeding. He quickly helped him in binding the wound with pieces of his clothes torn to make it stop bleeding.
Upon his return to the palace, he was asked what had transpired and how he sustained the injury, he quickly concocted some lies to defend himself. He had told his parents that he fell while advancing for a fruit from a tree. After series of treatment using herbs and other liquid portions without any sign of improvement, the King decided to engage a medical doctor who could not diagnose the cause of the fracture on his right hand. And as such, he could not prescribe any medication. As days went by, the Prince's situation kept on deteriorating. His hands began projecting a very horrible odour.
As the family quietly anticipated the day of his death, one faithful morning, a young man from the neighbouring community came along with the message of salvation while shouting aloud. It was an early hour of the day and no one expected such a loud cry. His words were "come to Jesus Christ and receive eternal life". The King and the Queen tried to ignore the sound coming from a distance. As they turned to continue in their sleep, the voice sounded even more compelling. "Jesus Christ is the Lord of Life, The KING of kings and The Prince of Peace", the echoing sound continued. At this time, the King felt infuriated and ordered his guards to fetch the lone ranger propagating this message.
Before his emergence at the King's palace, the young man quietly muttered few words of prayer. While saying "O Lord my God, deliver me from evil this day, in Jesus Name i pray, Amen", he was ferried into this beautifully and nice looking compound living him in-front of a magnificent edifice. The King while on his way out to meet the young man which stood no chance at outwitting his muscular guards, spoke out to Maxwell asking "what other King were you referring to my this community? Have you come out here to spy our land? Look here, young man or whatever you call yourself; if you are found guilt you will be left without your head and i guarantee that before your rescue team finds your body, it would long be decayed".
Maxwell, humbly introduced himself as a merchant who had just returned to his hometown after a long visit to the Queensland. His adventured had been a successful one that came along with his encounter with Jesus Christ who eventually became the Saviour of his Soul. He narrated his experience and the King and his Queen developed interest in knowing about this Jesus Christ which he spoke of owning the Power to transform situations beyond imaginations of men. Taking this into cognizance, Maxwell referred his audience to a passage in the Holy Scriptures of Revelation 3:20 which says "Behold, i stand at the door and knock, if any man hears my voice and open unto me, i will come and sup with him and he with me". They became so interested in commencing fellowship with Jesus. The gentleman heaved a sigh of relieve and led them in prayers.
After the prayers of Mr. Maxwell, one of the guards quickly signaled that he wants to ask a favour of him. As the guard spoke, he talked of the Prince whose right hand was affected badly by a thunder strike and asked that prayers be made on his behalf. Young Maxwell requested to see Prince Domingez and was shown his location, in a room lying helpless. Mr. Maxwell was optimistic that God can heal him through Jesus Christ's name. He even mentioned that it was a familiar kind of situation which God has taken care of in the resent past. Pastor Maxwell, as the family later called him, prayed and God Power broke through to perpetuate His deliverance. Prince Domingez's hand which appeared to be decaying revived and the traces of rottenness where no longer found. He sprung up out of his bed of sorrow with jubilant sounds of praise to Jesus Christ.
This encounter made the King of Nok Land vowed to construct a good road linking both communities together. He erected quality infrastructures in the community before his demise and Nok Land flourished even after his reign because his successor did not decline from following the ancient landmark which his predecessors earmarked.
