THE CONNECTION THAT LINKS TO CHRIST AT ETERNITY

The Joy that exists in communities benefiting from the electricity power supply made available by the national grid is quite satisfying. In those communities, different fashion of development tend to outshine the darkness that has plagued economic and sustainable growth. In no distant time, neighbouring towns begin to witness the beauty of positive externalities.

The scenario above describes the lifestyle of a Christian that genuinely practices the teachings of JESUS CHRIST and the nature of Peace that salvation brings to our immediate community. Every effort to share the gospel with others is an attempt to connect them with the light of the world which happen to be JESUS CHRIST. It is referred to as shining as light in a dark world. It chases away darkness and reassures hope in the heart of every hearer. Without the gospel of Christ, sinners grope in the darkness of sin that Satan uses to enslave them and we must act fast as watchmen directed by God to sound the alarm of danger because God's judgment hovers over them.

The Holy Bible in Mark  16:15 says "...Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature". Philippians  2:15 amplifies the purpose "That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world". There is reward for all obedient servants of God. Mark  16:17-18 states "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover". Pause for a while and think about it. Is there any community that can afford to reject the good gift which is from above and cometh down from the Father of Light? Is there anyone born of a woman that can afford rejecting the good gift of salvation which the God in whom is no variableness offers? The scriptures in Romans  10:14, says "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?".

This presents a big challenge to all Christians, just as the word of God reveals in 2 Timothy  4:2, "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine". Just as Andrew connected his brother, Simon Peter to Christ, and Phillip connected Nathanael to Christ, tell your neighbours about JESUS CHRIST. Tell that person next to you. Do not let Satan seal your mouth. Strive to connect sinners in their reach to Christ. Strive through intercessory prayer, personal evangelism, and sharing of gospel messages through the social media. You can connect many sinners around you and on the global community to Christ.

Jesus Christ said categorically in Luke  13:24, "Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able". Will you strive? How will you strive? Please, do it just as the Master JESUS CHRIST did it. He said in John  9:4, "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work". Will you work for the LORD? He has given you another opportunity. Why not use it wisely? He also amplified the place of love during his earthly ministry. In John  13:35, he said, "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another". Do you love the sinners as Christ loves them? If you truly do, tell them about the saviour that came and died in their place. Tell them that they do not need to pay the price of their sins any more. Christ paid it all.

As you do, may God Almighty furnish your ministry with fruits, in Jesus Name, Amen.

DO NOT DEPAIR

Having found out whom God is... DO NOT DESPAIR TEXT: PSALM 13:1-6 Key verse: “How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?” (Psalm 13:1) . Life throws up new challenges every day. This often makes the believer begin to think that God had abandoned him. Except he rouses himself up, he would become discouraged and lose all hope that help would ever come to him. David got to that point many times in his numerous battles in life. He probably prayed and fasted for long periods, but the onslaught of the enemy did not end. He was running out of options, hence he spoke in desperation to God. He seemed to conclude that He had forsaken him and wondered how long God would hide himself, and how long he was going to be abandoned to himself, getting ever more sorrowful daily. He was troubled that the enemy seemed to be triumphing over him; ...

NO SHORTCUT

If it is to be done aright, be rest assured that there is... NO SHORTCUT BELIEVERS' DIGEST PUBLICATION Bible Reading: 1 KINGS 15:16-24 Key Verse: “There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me” (1 Kings 15:19). Men always seek shortcut to success in life. Rather than live by God’s righteous standard, they seek to achieve success by any means possible. They justify their action by arguing that the end does indeed justify the means. This is despite their moral failings and character flaws, all of which contravene God’s expectations from His children. Such was the beginning of the end for King Asa, who had begun well to rule Judah and had introduced gr...

A GEM OF SPECTACULAR INFLUENCE

WINNERS' INTEREST PUBLICATION A GEM OF SPECTACULAR INFLUENCE Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 3:19-21 (KJV) Key Verse: “And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground” (1 Samuel 3:19). The world, in which we live today is filled with corrupting influences. This forms the basis of God's call to His people to rise as rare treasures of purity and power. A “Gem of Spectacular Influence” is not an ordinary person. It describes a believer whose life carries unique, enduring value that transcends fleeting worldly trends. Like a precious gem that retains its brilliance even in darkness, such a life reflects resolute determination to pursue excellence in glorifying God, undimmed by surrounding negativity. The story of Samuel powerfully illustrates this truth. Raised in the tabernacle at Shiloh under the aged priest Eli, Samuel was surrounded by evil practices. Eli’s sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were notorious for ...
