DINING AT THE MOUNTAIN OF GOD’S HOLINESS

“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men” (Proverbs  22:29). Dining at the mountain of God’s holiness is a serious business for every genuine believer. Regardless of whatever race he/she may have migrated from, what is expected of us as believers is “Be ye holy” because the LORD GOD(The Almighty) is holy. Just as it has been embedded in the Holy scriptures, we are all called into an intimate relationship with God. One whose origin is past finding out. This relationship in which we are called into is one that can very well be described as unfathomable. Considering the limitations of our frail reasoning faculty, we may decline into folly if we neglect spending time in prayer to this great and awesome God. Studying His word regularly, makes us acquainted with the nuggets of Holiness even while in the company of other believers. However savvy we may become, we can only strengthen our prowess in the shrewdness of God’s indefatigable nature of Holiness by dining in His presence, while He vexes his pre-eminence on eradicating the oblivion which the world around us tries to instigate. Thereby, favouring the recognition of His magnanimity on the plight of enduring believers.

The concept of dining at the Mountain of God’s Holiness exposes us to the intriguing pleasures of fellowshipping with the God that loves and cherishes the pragmatic demonstration of righteousness in the existence of man. Just as Jesus Christ enunciated in John 15:5 & 7, It is therefore necessary that every believer make endearing efforts to abide in the Vine. Jesus Christ is the Vine. This is an extraordinary experience that connects us to the exclusivity of the Heavenly King as members of His eternal priesthood (1 Peter 2:5). Revelation 1:6 says we are “kings and priests unto God.” This means that we have access to God and His presence, if we abide in the Vine.

Dining at the Mountain of God’s Holiness means accessing His presence through Jesus Christ.  In Psalm 100:4, we are told to “enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise.” We can do this acceptably through prayer and worship in Jesus Name while acknowledging the Supremacy of God. When we come into His presence, we experience His Love, Peace, Joy and other benefits that satisfies beyond what human words can define. When we dine at the mountain of God’s Holiness, it also means that we witness His provisions made available to us as believers. This provisions of His is what charges us to boldly declare His righteousness in every spectra of human existence. It may come with some discomfort but we endeavour to continue declaring His righteousness in the land of the living because we are assured of His blessings that never fails. “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” (Galatians  6:9). In Ephesians 1:3, we are told that God “hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.”

These blessings are only available to souls that are saved from Sin. In Isaiah 6, when Isaiah saw the Lord sitting on His throne, he was humbled and repentant. When we come into God’s presence, we are confronted with His holiness and are made aware of our sinfulness. This should lead us to a deeper repentance and a desire to conform to His image. We must remember that only repentant souls are beneficiaries of the salvation and forgiveness that is made available by the atoning blood of Jesus Christ. If the Holy Spirit does not bear witness in your heart that you have been saved from the guilt of Sin, make your way right with God today before it is too late. The hour of grace is still available. Reach out to Jesus Christ and pray to God while confessing your Sins to Him. He will forgive you and blot out all unrighteousness out of your life.

Once this is settled, it means you have been transformed by God to dine in His presence that is always furnished with Holiness. In 2 Corinthians 3:18, we are told that when we behold the glory of the Lord, we are transformed into His image from glory to glory. As we dine at the Mountain of God’s Holiness, we become more like Him.

In conclusion, dining at the Mountain of God’s Holiness is a privilege and it is the responsibility of every believer. As believers, we have the right to enter into God’s presence and partake of His provisions. But to maximize the best use of this privileged opportunity, we must also be willing to be transformed by His holiness. This requires humility, reverence, and obedience to every jot of  instruction that His Spirit ministers. When we come into God’s presence, we should expect to be changed and challenged. We should also expect to be filled with His Love, His Grace, and His Joy. As we commit to fellowshipping and dining to the presence of the living God, may the abundant flow of His blessings fill our hearts in Jesus Name, Amen.

DO NOT DEPAIR

Having found out whom God is... DO NOT DESPAIR TEXT: PSALM 13:1-6 Key verse: “How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?” (Psalm 13:1) . Life throws up new challenges every day. This often makes the believer begin to think that God had abandoned him. Except he rouses himself up, he would become discouraged and lose all hope that help would ever come to him. David got to that point many times in his numerous battles in life. He probably prayed and fasted for long periods, but the onslaught of the enemy did not end. He was running out of options, hence he spoke in desperation to God. He seemed to conclude that He had forsaken him and wondered how long God would hide himself, and how long he was going to be abandoned to himself, getting ever more sorrowful daily. He was troubled that the enemy seemed to be triumphing over him; ...

NO SHORTCUT

If it is to be done aright, be rest assured that there is... NO SHORTCUT BELIEVERS' DIGEST PUBLICATION Bible Reading: 1 KINGS 15:16-24 Key Verse: “There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me” (1 Kings 15:19). Men always seek shortcut to success in life. Rather than live by God’s righteous standard, they seek to achieve success by any means possible. They justify their action by arguing that the end does indeed justify the means. This is despite their moral failings and character flaws, all of which contravene God’s expectations from His children. Such was the beginning of the end for King Asa, who had begun well to rule Judah and had introduced gr...

A GEM OF SPECTACULAR INFLUENCE

WINNERS' INTEREST PUBLICATION A GEM OF SPECTACULAR INFLUENCE Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 3:19-21 (KJV) Key Verse: “And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground” (1 Samuel 3:19). The world, in which we live today is filled with corrupting influences. This forms the basis of God's call to His people to rise as rare treasures of purity and power. A “Gem of Spectacular Influence” is not an ordinary person. It describes a believer whose life carries unique, enduring value that transcends fleeting worldly trends. Like a precious gem that retains its brilliance even in darkness, such a life reflects resolute determination to pursue excellence in glorifying God, undimmed by surrounding negativity. The story of Samuel powerfully illustrates this truth. Raised in the tabernacle at Shiloh under the aged priest Eli, Samuel was surrounded by evil practices. Eli’s sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were notorious for ...
