Once upon a time, in a small village surrounded the many hills and mountains, there lived a young damsel named Karenhapoch. Karenhapoch soon became popular for the sterling beauty hidden under her fair skin. Her long flowing hair and bright shining eyes that seemed to sparkle like diamonds in the presence of sunlight quickly distinguished her from other ladies.
But there was this unique quality that truly made Karenhapoch a wonder among other ladies in the village and it is her purity and innocence. While most of the ladies in the village spent their days gossiping, scheming, and working to buy the attention of the boys, Karenhapoch chose to focus her concern of the things that made God happy. She seldom share with close relatives the benefits of knowing God experiencially through His Son JESUS CHRIST. She remained unperturbed by the petty concerns of whisperers and murmurers that went about seeking cheap gain. She spent her days studying and meditating upon the word of God which has been taught during her stay at the little gathering of the saints in their locality. Whenever she remembers how "the mountains move at the presence of God", a passage she had read from the Holy Bible, her face glow in smiles that compliments the beauty of nature which reveals how satisfying the Joy of life up above would be.
One day, a traveling merchant passing through the village caught sight of Karenhapoch and was immediately struck by her beauty. Determined to possess such a treasure for himself, the merchant approached Karenhapoch with offers of riches and luxury beyond her wildest imagination.
But Karenhapoch, pure of heart and unswayed by ephemeral possessions, rejected the merchant's advances stating clearly that if it was God's desire for her, He would have made it know to her afore time. She was able to discern that the beauty of true godliness could not be bought or sold neither was it to be tarnished and tainted by the greed and lust of unbelievers.
Enraged by Karenhapoch's rejection, the merchant vowed to destroy the purity and innocence she possessed just because he felt that beauty without contamination was nothing but a mere illusion. But after series of trials, he could not taint the purity of Karenhapoch's heart, for the God she served stood by her even in her innocence which defended her to make her conviction to shine brighter than any gold or silver in the world.
In the end, the merchant left the village empty-handed, his heart heavy with regret and shame. And Karenhapoch continued to serve God through the thick and thin with her beauty untarnished.
Dare to be different!!!
