THE SATISFYING GIFT OF GOD

This materialistic world in which we live today has made it easy for many to overlook the profound gifts that the Almighty Father distribute to us with each passing day. God's abundant provisions stems from the air we inhale to every other phenomena that confer upon us fulfillment. In this, there exist a unique gift from God that surpasses all others. It's ability to satisfy and fulfill our deepest needs which happen to be harbouring the forgiveness of the creator makes this gift an exceptional one. Just as the Holy Bible makes us to understand while stating "Blessed is the man whose sin is forgiven", the man in whom the LORD inputs not sin is equitably blessed.

Romans 6:23 makes the aforementioned statement true by affirming that "..the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". As this verse reminds us that all sinners sincerely need the benevolence of a Savior, it also calls to remembrance the place of the gift of God, which is eternal life through Jesus Christ. The eternal life available through JESUS CHRIST is only offered freely to all who accept Him as their Lord and Savior. So let us not limit this gift to the workings of men because it is only made available by the Grace and Mercy of "the God in whom is no variableness nor shadow of turning" (James 1:17).

Ephesians 2:8-9 solemnly amplifies the rejoinder, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." The Salvation of a man's soul is a gift from God that cannot be earned through our own worthless efforts. It is only through Faith in Jesus Christ sacrifice on the cross of Calvary alone that we receive the gift of eternal life. This gift is available to all who believe in Him, regardless of their past sins or shortcomings.

The gift of salvation brings with it a deep sense of satisfaction and fulfillment. It offers forgiveness for sins committed in the past and forestalls Peace with God while providing the platform for reinstatement and fulfillment of the promise of eternal life with God in heaven. This gift unlike any other indemnifies a man to the initial plan of God for him. It can be likened to being connected to streams of life and nourishment that never runs dry as it will be a lifetime of growing from strength to stages of more strength in the presence of the Almighty Father. When one experiences the reconnection to this great Father of Light who dwells up above all difficulty and weaknesses, he/she will then reassuredly say "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake." (Psalm 23:1-3)

The gift of salvation brings with it the assurance that JESUS CHRIST is our good shepherd, guiding and protecting us in all circumstances. Like a loving and compassionate Master, He guarantees the supply of our needs and leads us in the paths of righteousness. This gift brings satisfaction to our souls and Peace to our hearts, knowing that we are loved by a God who will never leave nor forsake us.

As we journey through life, it is essential to remember that the satisfying gift of God is the gift of Salvation made available through Jesus Christ. This gift offers us Hope in times of despair, Strength in times of weakness, and Joy in times of sorrow. It is a gift that truly satisfies the deepest longings of our hearts and souls.

In conclusion, let us cherish and appreciate the satisfying gift of God which is the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ by using it as an access point to receiving other treasures that the LORD has reserved to give to us. Let this be known that our reception of the satisfying gift from God can only be gotten through importunate  prayers. As you commit your desires to God through prayers, may the answers come pouring-in in Jesus Name, Amen.

DO NOT DEPAIR

Having found out whom God is... DO NOT DESPAIR TEXT: PSALM 13:1-6 Key verse: “How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?” (Psalm 13:1) . Life throws up new challenges every day. This often makes the believer begin to think that God had abandoned him. Except he rouses himself up, he would become discouraged and lose all hope that help would ever come to him. David got to that point many times in his numerous battles in life. He probably prayed and fasted for long periods, but the onslaught of the enemy did not end. He was running out of options, hence he spoke in desperation to God. He seemed to conclude that He had forsaken him and wondered how long God would hide himself, and how long he was going to be abandoned to himself, getting ever more sorrowful daily. He was troubled that the enemy seemed to be triumphing over him; ...

NO SHORTCUT

If it is to be done aright, be rest assured that there is... NO SHORTCUT BELIEVERS' DIGEST PUBLICATION Bible Reading: 1 KINGS 15:16-24 Key Verse: “There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me” (1 Kings 15:19). Men always seek shortcut to success in life. Rather than live by God’s righteous standard, they seek to achieve success by any means possible. They justify their action by arguing that the end does indeed justify the means. This is despite their moral failings and character flaws, all of which contravene God’s expectations from His children. Such was the beginning of the end for King Asa, who had begun well to rule Judah and had introduced gr...

A GEM OF SPECTACULAR INFLUENCE

WINNERS' INTEREST PUBLICATION A GEM OF SPECTACULAR INFLUENCE Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 3:19-21 (KJV) Key Verse: “And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground” (1 Samuel 3:19). The world, in which we live today is filled with corrupting influences. This forms the basis of God's call to His people to rise as rare treasures of purity and power. A “Gem of Spectacular Influence” is not an ordinary person. It describes a believer whose life carries unique, enduring value that transcends fleeting worldly trends. Like a precious gem that retains its brilliance even in darkness, such a life reflects resolute determination to pursue excellence in glorifying God, undimmed by surrounding negativity. The story of Samuel powerfully illustrates this truth. Raised in the tabernacle at Shiloh under the aged priest Eli, Samuel was surrounded by evil practices. Eli’s sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were notorious for ...
