THE FRUIT OF LABOURING RIGHTEOUSLY

Labouring righteously defines the character traits of all those that have truly tasted of the offerings of the Saviour who died on the cross of Calvary. It depicts the exemplary culture of Christ's teachings which is the unique nature of God with whom we have to do. The idea that one should work diligently and honestly in all aspects of his/her life is a fundamental principle of virtuous living as well as the corroboration of godliness that leads to a fulfilling life. In the King James Version of the Holy Bible, Colossians 3:23 emphasizes this notion by stating, "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men."

The fruit of labouring righteously does not only culminate in financial benefits or material possession. It also has a way of instigating a sense of fulfillment and inner satisfaction that comes from knowing one has conducted him/herself with integrity and godliness. Proverbs 14:23 of the King James Version of the Holy Bible states, "In all labor there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury." This verse highlights the importance of working honourably and its attendant positive outcomes especially when done with righteousness at heart.

Working diligently and with integrity may not always seem easy, as there are instances where slight temptations will arise with suggestions to cut corners or engage in dishonest practices in order to achieve success. However, Proverbs 10:4 reminds us that "He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich." This verse serves as a reminder that true wealth and prosperity comes from honesty and consistent hard work rather than taking shortcuts or engaging in deceitful behaviours.

Furthermore, labouring righteously is a reflection of how people conduct themselves in their professional lives, personal relationships and interactions with others in manners that are glorifying only to God. Ephesians 4:28 of the King James Version of the Holy Bible states, "Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth." As we meditate on this verse, let us not forget the blessedness of giving. It is not enough to continuously accumulate without efforts to contribute to the progress and successes of others. This is what forestalls our resourcefulness. It is therefore pertinent that we work for the betterment of others as well.

Ultimately, the fruit of labouring in righteousness is about ensuring that the Kingdom of God gains the benefit of your sacrificial service and the successful delivery of the word of life to as many souls you encounter during your lifetime journey on Earth. Galatians 6:9 of the King James Version of the Holy Bible encourages us by saying, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

In conclusion, labouring righteously is a principle that is deeply ingrained in the teachings of the Bible and serves as a guide to all whose ambitions are to inherit Heaven after their journeys here on Earth is over. It very well defines how we are to conduct ourselves in all aspects of our lives as born again Christians. By working diligently, honestly, and with the Spirit of God in our service to others, we can reap the fruits of our labour which includes the deep satisfaction that comes from God's presence, His Peace, fulfillment of our purpose, and even the eternal blessings of dining with God I. heaven. As Proverbs 13:11 of the King James Version of the Holy Bible states, "Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase." May the Almighty God help us all to strive to labour righteously and reap the attendant blessings that accompanies living a life of integrity and godliness in Jesus Name, Amen.

DO NOT DEPAIR

Having found out whom God is... DO NOT DESPAIR TEXT: PSALM 13:1-6 Key verse: “How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?” (Psalm 13:1) . Life throws up new challenges every day. This often makes the believer begin to think that God had abandoned him. Except he rouses himself up, he would become discouraged and lose all hope that help would ever come to him. David got to that point many times in his numerous battles in life. He probably prayed and fasted for long periods, but the onslaught of the enemy did not end. He was running out of options, hence he spoke in desperation to God. He seemed to conclude that He had forsaken him and wondered how long God would hide himself, and how long he was going to be abandoned to himself, getting ever more sorrowful daily. He was troubled that the enemy seemed to be triumphing over him; ...

NO SHORTCUT

If it is to be done aright, be rest assured that there is... NO SHORTCUT BELIEVERS' DIGEST PUBLICATION Bible Reading: 1 KINGS 15:16-24 Key Verse: “There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me” (1 Kings 15:19). Men always seek shortcut to success in life. Rather than live by God’s righteous standard, they seek to achieve success by any means possible. They justify their action by arguing that the end does indeed justify the means. This is despite their moral failings and character flaws, all of which contravene God’s expectations from His children. Such was the beginning of the end for King Asa, who had begun well to rule Judah and had introduced gr...

A GEM OF SPECTACULAR INFLUENCE

WINNERS' INTEREST PUBLICATION A GEM OF SPECTACULAR INFLUENCE Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 3:19-21 (KJV) Key Verse: “And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground” (1 Samuel 3:19). The world, in which we live today is filled with corrupting influences. This forms the basis of God's call to His people to rise as rare treasures of purity and power. A “Gem of Spectacular Influence” is not an ordinary person. It describes a believer whose life carries unique, enduring value that transcends fleeting worldly trends. Like a precious gem that retains its brilliance even in darkness, such a life reflects resolute determination to pursue excellence in glorifying God, undimmed by surrounding negativity. The story of Samuel powerfully illustrates this truth. Raised in the tabernacle at Shiloh under the aged priest Eli, Samuel was surrounded by evil practices. Eli’s sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were notorious for ...
