JUST THE WAY GOD WANTS IT

Have you ever felt like you are not good enough for that area of specialty? Like you do not measure up to the standards that society or even your own family and friends have prescribed? It is easy to fall into this trap of self-doubt and self-criticism, and it may seldomly be difficult to escape from it.

But what if I told you that you do not have to measure up to anyone's standards? That you are perfect just the way God made you? Will this satiate your reasonability? It is true that the society in which we live in have their own standards and may desire certain expectation from us but when God is on our side, those expectations will be whittled down from our thoughts. God created you in His perfection and nothing can outwit his majestic creation lodged in you. He has made you the exact way He wants you to be and by trusting in him dependently, your strengths will obviously be renewed effortlessly as all your weaknesses becomes infinitesimal, a perfection of His glory in your life.

In Psalms  139:14, it is written "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well". God created you with a purpose in mind. He has a plan for your life, and He knows exactly what you need to fulfill that plan. This purpose of his can only be fulfilled if you surrender your life to his LORDSHIP. You may want to understand this as doing everything right just as he dictates. By this I mean believing that God knows what He is doing.

In Jeremiah 29:11, the Holy Bible says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end". So, if you are feeling like you can do better than the expectations of your profession, remember that the image of God can project a better personality in you, exactly the way He wants you to be. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, forged with His agility to make that very thought of Peace of His into an expected end in your life.

Embrace Him as your LORD if you have not done so and watch your strengths bloom at his Bosom while your weaknesses fizzle away. It is indeed a very exhilarating experience, calling upon the name of the LORD JESUS. Be sure to receive forgiveness, when you ask of him. Your sins will be driven into the sea of God's forgetfulness. As you trust that God will use every opportunity you give to him for His glory, be rest assured that your life will never remain the same again. Don't compare yourself to others or try to meet their ungodly expectations. Instead, focus on living out God's plan for your life and being God's best version of yourself that you can ever be.

In the end, it's not about what others think of you or even what you think of yourself but what God thinks about you and his love for you will rekindle every smile along the way.

DO NOT DEPAIR

Having found out whom God is... DO NOT DESPAIR TEXT: PSALM 13:1-6 Key verse: “How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?” (Psalm 13:1) . Life throws up new challenges every day. This often makes the believer begin to think that God had abandoned him. Except he rouses himself up, he would become discouraged and lose all hope that help would ever come to him. David got to that point many times in his numerous battles in life. He probably prayed and fasted for long periods, but the onslaught of the enemy did not end. He was running out of options, hence he spoke in desperation to God. He seemed to conclude that He had forsaken him and wondered how long God would hide himself, and how long he was going to be abandoned to himself, getting ever more sorrowful daily. He was troubled that the enemy seemed to be triumphing over him; ...

NO SHORTCUT

If it is to be done aright, be rest assured that there is... NO SHORTCUT BELIEVERS' DIGEST PUBLICATION Bible Reading: 1 KINGS 15:16-24 Key Verse: “There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me” (1 Kings 15:19). Men always seek shortcut to success in life. Rather than live by God’s righteous standard, they seek to achieve success by any means possible. They justify their action by arguing that the end does indeed justify the means. This is despite their moral failings and character flaws, all of which contravene God’s expectations from His children. Such was the beginning of the end for King Asa, who had begun well to rule Judah and had introduced gr...

A GEM OF SPECTACULAR INFLUENCE

WINNERS' INTEREST PUBLICATION A GEM OF SPECTACULAR INFLUENCE Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 3:19-21 (KJV) Key Verse: “And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground” (1 Samuel 3:19). The world, in which we live today is filled with corrupting influences. This forms the basis of God's call to His people to rise as rare treasures of purity and power. A “Gem of Spectacular Influence” is not an ordinary person. It describes a believer whose life carries unique, enduring value that transcends fleeting worldly trends. Like a precious gem that retains its brilliance even in darkness, such a life reflects resolute determination to pursue excellence in glorifying God, undimmed by surrounding negativity. The story of Samuel powerfully illustrates this truth. Raised in the tabernacle at Shiloh under the aged priest Eli, Samuel was surrounded by evil practices. Eli’s sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were notorious for ...
