WAKING UP TO A PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

Purpose is a word that is often tossed around and sometimes misunderstood. For some, it may seem unattainable, while for others, it is the driving force of their lives. However, it is the latter that gears in the right perspective. Waking up to a purpose-driven life involves understanding the reason for your existence and realizing what you can offer to the world around you.

Discovering one’s purpose may not be a one-time task that you can tick off your to-do list. Instead, it is a continuous process that involves the realization of one’s feebleness without Christ, understanding the clarity of God’s instructions, and taking concrete steps to pragmatically utilize the information conferred upon one’s awareness in a wise manner. To wake up to a purpose-driven life, you must first reflect on Christ’s teachings and his passion for souls to be won into God’s Kingdom, meditate on the essential values that he tirelessly inculcated in his disciples during his life time ministry, practically educate others in his belief systems with the unique qualities he deposited within you without ignoring those abilities that sets you apart from the crowd.

It is essential to understand that purpose is not just about engaging in activities for personal aggrandizement. It goes beyond self gratification and involves contributing to the execution and fulfillment of the higher call through the deployment of a God-given wisdom that enables the impartation of a positive difference in people's life. Your purpose should involve serving God in truth and in Spirit with the totality of your resources as you add value to the society meaningfully. It could be in form of contributions made to eradicate social hazards, volunteering to ameliorate the sufferings of people, especially those living below the moderate standard, while sharing God’s love with them, or even launching a venture that assists others in accomplishing heaven’s goals.

Waking up to a purpose-driven life entails taking responsibility for your actions and being intentional about the decisions you make. Every action or decision you take must align with God’s purpose and value for your life. Upholding Christlike beliefs in every decision you make can be empowering, rewarding, and fulfilling. It can also help you avoid feeling lost, unfulfilled, or lacking direction in life.

Realizing God’s purpose for your life is not a difficult task. It only requires your decision to ply the appropriate route which Christ has earmarked as acceptable as you journey through life. Start by reflecting on who he is. Visualize him as your saviour. Ensure you bequeath your life into his control. Be sure to surrender the clay of your talents, passion and valuables into his ever loving hands and he will mold your experiences into a beautified sculpture of righteousness. Then exploit every given opportunity to study and meditate upon his word. Make this an essentials part of the issues you care about. Identify avenues which can be harnessed for the glorification of his Holy Name and dedicate more of your time to it.

It is also essential to develop a listening ear, one that hear his still small voice, speaking to correct and guide at every juncture of life while bearing in mind that he will never lead anyone trusting in him to failure. Optimum satisfaction is his specialty. If you depend on him, he will turn every failure of your’s into streams of ever flowing success. Learn of him, embrace and leverage every opportunity that life gives to stand-out exceptionally. Pray to God to fuel your zeal for his service.

In conclusion, waking up to a purpose-driven life requires concerted effort channeled at discovering the blessedness of the saviour with the intention of adhering strictly to His Will at all times. Once you find God’s given purpose for your life, do not hesitate to make it your driving force. It can help you navigate life’s ups and downs while providing you with a sense of direction and fulfillment. So, start reflecting, exploring, and living intentionally to discover God’s purpose for your life and devote yourself to fulfilling the higher calling.

DO NOT DEPAIR

Having found out whom God is... DO NOT DESPAIR TEXT: PSALM 13:1-6 Key verse: “How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?” (Psalm 13:1) . Life throws up new challenges every day. This often makes the believer begin to think that God had abandoned him. Except he rouses himself up, he would become discouraged and lose all hope that help would ever come to him. David got to that point many times in his numerous battles in life. He probably prayed and fasted for long periods, but the onslaught of the enemy did not end. He was running out of options, hence he spoke in desperation to God. He seemed to conclude that He had forsaken him and wondered how long God would hide himself, and how long he was going to be abandoned to himself, getting ever more sorrowful daily. He was troubled that the enemy seemed to be triumphing over him; ...

NO SHORTCUT

If it is to be done aright, be rest assured that there is... NO SHORTCUT BELIEVERS' DIGEST PUBLICATION Bible Reading: 1 KINGS 15:16-24 Key Verse: “There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me” (1 Kings 15:19). Men always seek shortcut to success in life. Rather than live by God’s righteous standard, they seek to achieve success by any means possible. They justify their action by arguing that the end does indeed justify the means. This is despite their moral failings and character flaws, all of which contravene God’s expectations from His children. Such was the beginning of the end for King Asa, who had begun well to rule Judah and had introduced gr...

A GEM OF SPECTACULAR INFLUENCE

WINNERS' INTEREST PUBLICATION A GEM OF SPECTACULAR INFLUENCE Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 3:19-21 (KJV) Key Verse: “And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground” (1 Samuel 3:19). The world, in which we live today is filled with corrupting influences. This forms the basis of God's call to His people to rise as rare treasures of purity and power. A “Gem of Spectacular Influence” is not an ordinary person. It describes a believer whose life carries unique, enduring value that transcends fleeting worldly trends. Like a precious gem that retains its brilliance even in darkness, such a life reflects resolute determination to pursue excellence in glorifying God, undimmed by surrounding negativity. The story of Samuel powerfully illustrates this truth. Raised in the tabernacle at Shiloh under the aged priest Eli, Samuel was surrounded by evil practices. Eli’s sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were notorious for ...
