EMBRACING GOD'S REFINING PROCESS

As we go about our daily endeavours, there are moments when God visits with the sole purpose of searching our hearts, testing our intentions and examining our thoughts. The Psalmist acknowledges this divine scrutiny while saying, "Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing" (Psalm 17:3). This verse reminds us that our motives and desires are not hidden from God. They may be restricted from man's invasion but certainly not from the reach of the Almighty God. Now as believers on our way to Heaven, we are to live with the consciousness of presenting our thoughts to the refinement of God's word. Just as silver is purified in the fire, our hearts can be purified under God's watchful eye. We must also be sure to conform with the Psalmist declaration in Psalm 17:3b, "I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress". We must resolve to be committed to integrity and obedience especially as regarding...

THE FRUIT OF LABOURING RIGHTEOUSLY

Labouring righteously defines the character traits of all those that have truly tasted of the offerings of the Saviour who died on the cross of Calvary. It depicts the exemplary culture of Christ's teachings which is the unique nature of God with whom we have to do. The idea that one should work diligently and honestly in all aspects of his/her life is a fundamental principle of virtuous living as well as the corroboration of godliness that leads to a fulfilling life. In the King James Version of the Holy Bible, Colossians 3:23 emphasizes this notion by stating, "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men." The fruit of labouring righteously does not only culminate in financial benefits or material possession. It also has a way of instigating a sense of fulfillment and inner satisfaction that comes from knowing one has conducted him/herself with integrity and godliness. Proverbs 14:23 of the King James Version of the Holy Bible states, "...

THE GUARANTEE OF REWARD FOR PROFITABLE SERVICE

In the vast expanse of the universe, there lies unique blessings for all living beings that serve and glorify their Creator. This is hinged on the fundamental principles of sowing and reaping which if righteously applied will lead to the fulfillment of the profitable promise of God. This promise is emphasized throughout the Scriptures as a source of encouragement and motivation for believers to persevere in their obedience and service to the Almighty and Sovereign God. One of the key verses that speaks to this promise is found in Hebrews 6:10, which states, "For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister." In this verse, we are assured that every effort of born again Christians will be rewarded by a just and righteous God who sees and rewards their faithful service to Him. We are to remember that no act of service done for the glory of God will go unnoticed or u...

BEAUTY WITHOUT CONTAMINATION

Once upon a time, in a small village surrounded the many hills and mountains, there lived a young damsel named Karenhapoch. Karenhapoch soon became popular for the sterling beauty hidden under her fair skin. Her long flowing hair and bright shining eyes that seemed to sparkle like diamonds in the presence of sunlight quickly distinguished her from other ladies. But there was this unique quality that truly made Karenhapoch a wonder among other ladies in the village and it is her purity and innocence. While most of the ladies in the village spent their days gossiping, scheming, and working to buy the attention of the boys, Karenhapoch chose to focus her concern of the things that made God happy. She seldom share with close relatives the benefits of knowing God experiencially through His Son JESUS CHRIST. She remained unperturbed by the  petty concerns of whisperers and murmurers that went about seeking cheap gain. She spent her days studying and meditating upon the word of God which ...

THE SATISFYING GIFT OF GOD

This materialistic world in which we live today has made it easy for many to overlook the profound gifts that the Almighty Father distribute to us with each passing day. God's abundant provisions stems from the air we inhale to every other phenomena that confer upon us fulfillment. In this, there exist a unique gift from God that surpasses all others. It's ability to satisfy and fulfill our deepest needs which happen to be harbouring the forgiveness of the creator makes this gift an exceptional one. Just as the Holy Bible makes us to understand while stating "Blessed is the man whose sin is forgiven", the man in whom the LORD inputs not sin is equitably blessed. Romans 6:23 makes the aforementioned statement true by affirming that "..the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". As this verse reminds us that all sinners sincerely need the benevolence of a Savior, it also calls to remembrance the place of the g...

The Benevolence That Renews Our Minds

In a world often fraught with stress, conflict, and uncertainty, finding inner peace and contentment can feel like an elusive dream. However, the ageless wisdom from God Almighty sheds light on the transformative power of a renewed mind while revealing to us the path that leads towards benevolence and fulfilment.   The concept of a renewed mind is emphasized in Romans 12:2. It states, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." This verse encourages us to network our thoughts and ensure that it is in tune with the truth neptuned in God’s Will. A renewed mind foils the sense of inner peace and harmony. It allows us to view life's challenges through a lens of faith and resilience. Philippians 4:7 beautifully captures this promise, "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus...

WALKING IN THE VICTORY OF GOD'S WAYS

In the book of Deuteronomy 28:1-14, we are reminded that as believers, when we walk in obedience to God's commands, we will experience victory in every area of our lives. The LORD promises to bless us abundantly if we adhere to His commandments and follow His ways. It is important for us to remember that our victory ultimately comes from God, and it is through Him that we can overcome every challenge or obstacle that we encounter. Walking in the victory of God's ways as amplified by 1 Corinthians 15:57 entails being thankful and appreciative of all that He gives to us. Since, the power to be victorious is not concocted by our own strength, it is often expected that we show appreciation to the one who made them all possible. We must however not forget that each victory stride is made available through the Power in Jesus Name. As obedient people of God, walking in faith while adhering to God's instruction is non-negotiable. As the LORD instructed In Joshua 1:8 saying, ...

THE SWEET SAVOUR OF TRIUMPHING THROUGH CHRIST JESUS

2 Corinthians 2:14-15 states that "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:". This is a unique experience such that the Almighty Father who specialises in effecting supernatural course of events chooses to make the savour of His knowledge known through everyone that abides in Christ. As believers, we are called to abide in Him, thereby allowing His presence to fill our hearts and direct our steps. When we fully surrender to His desires and trust in His promises, we experience victory over the challenges of this world even while being enveloped in a deep sense of Peace and Joy that saturates God's Holy Presence. In John 15:4-5, Jesus says, "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. ...

JESUS CHRIST: THE BEST UNBURDENING SHEPHERD

In the hustle and bustle of life, it is easy to accumulate burdens that weigh us down. Whether it is the stress of work, the demands of family, or the weight of personal struggles, we all carry burdens that can become overwhelming. In times like these, we need a shepherd to unburden us, to ease our load, and to guide us back onto the path of righteousness which is flaked with Peace and rest. In the book of Psalms, King David, a man familiar with adversity, found solace in God as his shepherd. In Psalm 23:1-3, he wrote, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” Here, David recognized God as his shepherd, the one who provides for his needs, leads him to places of rest, and restores his soul. It is in God that David found the unburdening of his soul and rest. In the New Testament, Jesus Christ also identified himse...

THE GOOD FRUIT OF EVERY GOOD TREE

In the Holy Bible, specifically in the book of Matthew chapter 7, verse 17, it is written: "Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit." It is important to remember that most trees are known by the fruit they bear but as we digest this piece, let us not be quick to forget the spiritual principle that states that good actions will always yield good results, just as a good tree will yield good fruit. During the course of living our daily lives, we may have encountered situations where our actions and choices determined the outcomes we experience. This is a true reflection of this moral principle. However, the teachings of JESUS CHRIST as outlined in the Holy Bible must still serve as the guiding light for believers who seek to live righteous and fruitful lives. The fruit of a tree is a reflection of the health and vitality of the tree itself. Similarly, the choices and actions of every Christian showcases the character of g...

THE BLESSEDNESS OF GOD'S FORGIVENESS

The concept of forgiveness is a central theme in the Christian faith. The Holy Bible teaches that God possesses attributes of forgiveness and whenever he does so, it activates a deep sense of blessedness in every receiving heart. Psalms 32:1-2 declares, "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile." This unique feeling of blessedness that comes with experiencing God's forgiveness is second to none. One of the well-known stories about God's forgiveness is recorded in the Gospel of Luke 15:11-32. The parable of the Prodigal Son teaches us about the depth of God's forgiveness and the joy that comes with being forgiven. The parable tells the story of a son who asked for his inheritance from his father, goes on to squander it, and then returns to his father, desiring to be forgiven. His father did not only forgive him but also celebrated his retur...

THE POWERFUL INTERVENTION OF JESUS CHRIST FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH IMPOSSIBILITY

The King James version of the Holy Bible is filled with numerous powerful interventions of Jesus Christ for individuals facing impossible situations. From healing the sick to raising the dead, His miraculous interventions have left a profound impact on countless lives. In this article, we will explore some of these interventions and the enduring lessons they offer those encountering impossibilities. One of the most known interventions of Jesus Christ is the healing of the paralyzed man. In Mark 2:3-12, we read about how a group of friends brought the paralyzed man to Jesus Christ, but the crowd was so large that they found it somewhat difficult to get him close. Undeterred by the negative situation in which they found themselves, they made a hole in the roof and lowered the man down to Jesus. Upon seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, "Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house" (Mark 2:11). Instantly, the man was healed and walked out of the h...

Did you know that LOVE is better than HATRED?

It may be easy to say "yes" to the above question especially by those practicing it but to others it may not. It is by far the best thing that has ever happened to mankind in general. The word LOVE brings people together. It connotes harmony and a peaceful coexistence. It promotes caring and sharing wherever it is found. It is in the dwellings of LOVE that TRUST is found. As Martin Luther King Jr. rightly equates LOVE with LIGHT, it brightens the countenance of those that cherish it. Now the question that we need to answer is DO WE CHERISH LOVE? If we value it as an exceptional phenomenon which must be accommodated, it will not be difficult for us to practice it. We must also remember that GOD is LOVE personified. If you love and cherish the God that created you, wickedness will be far from your thoughts. Whenever you discover that the thought to "deal drastically with the woman called your wife" if festering because she made a little mistake, then you must remember...

THE PREVAILING INTERCESSION OF JESUS CHRIST FOR SINNERS

When Jesus Christ was physically in this world, he made the remarkable aspect of His ministry to showcase His love, compassion, and desire for the salvation of mankind. In the book of Hebrews 7:25, it is written, "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them." The prevailing nature of Jesus' intercession for sinners must not be interpreted for weakness because the LORD GOD has reserved a day in which He shall judge the entire world in righteousness(Acts 17:31). His compassionate nature must be viewed as a privilege to make amends and jettison all wrong doings. The concept of intercession is deeply rooted in the Old Testament, where Moses as the servant of God interceded on behalf of the people before God. However, with the coming of Jesus Christ, His intercession has a unique and powerful significance since he is our great High Priest(Hebrews 4:14). In the book of Romans 8:34, it sta...

GLOW WITH GOD'S SUFFICIENCY

In our world today, there maybe times when it seems like we don't have enough strength, wisdom or resources to overcome the trials that we encounter along our way to heaven. At such times as Christians, it is expected that we do not forget that we are not alone. Even in our struggles, Jesus Christ has assured us that "he is with us always even unto the end of the world" (Matthew 28:20). The LORD himself assures us of God's sufficiency in all things, and as we lean on Him, we can glow with His sufficiency in every aspect of our lives. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, the apostle Paul writes, "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." This powerful verse serves as an ointment of grace that greases the faith of all who remembers that even in times of weaknesses, God's grace is more than enough to sustain us. When we feel incapacitated or experience inadequate zest for the journey ahead, we can rest on the know...

AGILITY OF SUCCESS AND ITS CONGRUENT NUGGETS

In the similitude of constant change and predominant evolution, success is no longer just about achieving a set goal or reaching a particular milestone alone. Instead, it is about squaring up ones shoulders and brazing for the best while influencing others in the same perspective. Being agile and adaptable in the face of challenges and uncertainty very well defines the notion of achievers that will not succumb to obstinate perceptions of ostrobogulous and nefarious creatures. The agility of success is about being able to pivot, innovate, and thrive in the midst of change. It is about being resilient and resourceful, and finding new opportunities in the midst of adversity.   One of the essential aspects of success agility is resident in its ability to embrace progressively intertwined change steaming from God's presence. Agreeably, in an ever changing world gravitating towards the acclimatization of productivity which very well defines its the ability to adapt to new technologies, m...

CONFIDENCE IN THE PROMISED BREAKTHROUGH

It is best for us to know that even as we journey from Earth to Eternity, especially when the darkest of night tend to surround us; the bright light of the morning will come shining through. This proven reality becomes true when God steps into the equation. Now, let this be known, that God does not interfere with man's affairs but intervenes in man's precarious situation often to institute a positive turnaround specifically reinforcing our courage on manners that forestalls a beacon of hope while curating amazements. He sets these in array by introducing series of events to destroy the work of the Devil. While reaching out to us in His healing wings to uplift all who believe, he delivers from the debilitating effect of those dark moments. God declares to every believer that the perfection of His strength takes effect in our weaknesses (2 Corinthians 12:9). So, don’t be dismayed about that situation that you may have found yourself in this present moment, God’s offer in this New...
